Sun symbols are a central part of my work. I use them across all my mediums to evoke the passage of time and to symbolize my family.

Memory maps are bird’s eye view, map-like collages that depict an event or experience. Usually the body of water or area that one has swum. These artworks commemorate and record the event and the accomplishment. My maps are created by sharing memories between me and the person who is commissioning the work. I am currently exploring collaborating with other swimmers to translate their experiences and achievements into collages. I would also like to explore the idea of working with athletes in other disciplines to commemorate their memories as well. Memory maps are accompanied by a “key”, which is private to the owner of the memories.
